GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, NELLORE – BOYS HOSTEL
The hostel at Government Polytechnic, Nellore is managed under the supervision of the Principal and the Hostel Committee, ensuring smooth administration and welfare of the resident students.
The Hostel Warden is responsible for maintaining discipline, overseeing day-to-day activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. The Assistant Warden and Resident Tutors assist in supervising hostel operations, addressing student grievances, and promoting a healthy living environment.
The Office and Support Staff manage hostel records, fee collection, and maintenance of facilities such as water supply, sanitation, and electricity. The Mess Supervisor ensures hygienic and quality dining services. Security personnel are deployed round the clock to ensure safety and order within the hostel premises.
All staff members work in coordination to provide a safe, disciplined, and student-friendly residential environment.

NATURE OF DUTIES
Deputy Warden (Administration)
- Cheque drawing power with Hostel Superintendent.
- Checking of accounts, supervision of overall hostel administration, all purchases, and verification of bills for payment.
- Hostel admissions, preparation of CA reports, correspondence related to hostel affairs, and any other duties assigned by the Principal.
Deputy Wardens (Disciplinary)
- Maintenance of strict discipline in the hostel.
- Supervision of hostel workers, mess, and student rooms regularly.
- Interaction with students to resolve their problems.
- Ensuring students attend classes on time.
- Assisting in effective management of hostel and mess, and performing additional duties assigned by the Principal.
