Government Polytechnic, Nellore, established in 1960, is one of the oldest and premier technical institutions in Andhra Pradesh. The institution located at Venkateswarapuram, Nellore – 524005, SPSR Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, and is situated approximately 2.5 km from Nellore Railway Station and 5.5 km from the APSRTC Bus Stand,with easy access to public transportation.
It functions under the administrative control of the Department of Technical Education and is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The polytechnic offers three-year diploma programmes in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer and Commercial Practice (CCP).The curriculum is designed to equip students with strong theoretical foundations and practical skills aligned with industry requirements.
The campus is well-equipped with modern laboratories, workshops, digital classrooms, and a well-stocked library to support effective teaching and learning.
