ADMISSION PROCEDURE Admission procedure is divided into two categories,

DIPLOMA ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Andhra Pradesh State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test also known as “AP POLYCET” is a state level entrance exam for the candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh state. The exam is held for the candidates those wish to get admission in various polytechnic colleges of Andhra Pradesh state. . Eligibilty: The students have to qualify in SSC or equivalent exam with a minimum percentage as prescribed by Andhra Pradesh Secondary education Board and must qualify “AP POLYCET” exam conducted by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh which contains the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry of current X class syllabus, Question paper is objective type (Multiple Choice), and consists of 120 questions (Mathematics – 60, Physics – 30 and Chemistry – 30) to be answered in 2 hours (120 minutes) on OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet. The admission will be made through web counseling. For further details visit the website www.sbtetap.gov.in.   The seats which are not reported/remained empty after web counseling are filled with SPOT admissions, and are made by the college based on the merit in AP POLYCET / SSC following the rules laid from time to time..

IVC & ITI (LATERAL ENTRY SCHEME):

In addition, Inter Vocational candidates and ITI candidates are admitted into second year Diploma to the extent of 20% intake based on the merit in Bridge Courses and for ITI, Bridge Course is conducted by SBTET, under lateral entry scheme.   READMISSION :- Readmission shall be granted to eligible candidates by the respective principal/regional joint director.
  • a) Within 15 days after commencement of class work in any semester (Except industrial training)
  1. b) For industrial training : Before commencement of the industrial training.
  • Within 30 days after commencement of class works in any year of First year course.
